What is spam?
For me it's quite simple! Spam is anything that affects users search experience negatively. Probably been decades since I dug deep on the Google guidelines. Occasionally I might look up something that seems to have changed but I din't find them very useful in my SEO Future Proofing. For instance "doorway pages" have a long history in SEO. The strategy originally used hidden links to orphaned spam pages. Now it's a bad category or blogroll that isn't providing enough info about the pages it links to.
